Liora Perinatal is a support service that provides compassionate and non-judgmental care across the spectrum of reproductive experience. By offering birthing persons and their partners counselling and doula services, Liora Perinatal strives to provide wrap-around care to support individuals and families through major emotional, physical, and life transitions.

My name is Jordanna Comeau (she/her). I’m a registered social worker and a certifying birth and postpartum doula. My passion is helping birthing people feel supported, empowered, and resilient as they navigate the perinatal journey.

FAQs

  • Perinatal refers to the period from when a person becomes pregnant to a year after they give birth. It can also refer to a person’s experience along the reproductive spectrum and early parenthood: fertility, conception, pregnancy, loss, birth, postpartum, and beyond.

  • If you are experiencing challenges associated with the perinatal spectrum, whether you gave birth five years ago or do not have any living children, you may be appropriate for perinatal mental health counselling. The effects of reproductive trauma, grief and loss, early parenthood stress, or considering whether or not to have another child can persist beyond 1 year postpartum.

  • Services may be covered by private insurance plans under social work services. Consult your plan to learn more about your coverage.
